Artifacts - Everything to know...

Artifacts

Artifacts are special items which are introduced towards endgame. Artifacts are found in Natarian villages . Each artifact has a special use and different range of effects.

There are 3 type of artifact each type hold different range or power.
Those types are :
  • Small - Affects the village where the artifact is held.
  • Account - Affect in all of the village of the artifact holder's account.
  • Unique - Affect in all of the village of the artifact holder's account but with more bonus than the account wide artifact.
Additionally all records (villages the artifacts were hold, etc.) of artifacts are shown in the treasury.

A player can hold a maximum of 3 artifacts, in which only one can be an Account Wide or Unique artifact and the other two can be small artifacts. They can also hold more than 3 artifact by conquering the village that holds the artifact but only the 3 oldest artifacts will perform the function.

After successfully conquering artifacts it comes effective only after 24 hours on a normal server or 12 hours on a thrice speed server . This amount of time must be waited even if you conquer the artefact from yourself.

Prerequisites of holding an artifact in the village:
  • You will need
    • Level 10 Treasury for Small Artifact.
    • Level 20 Treasury for Account or Unique Artifact.
    • You will need a hero stationed(needs a Hero's Mansion) at the village in which the artifact is planned to be held because the hero is the only one who can carry an artifact.

Stealing an Artifact from Natarian Villages:
You have to attack the Natar village that holds the artifact with hero in the attacking army and win the attack. You also must destroy the treasury in that village. You also have to have treasury required by the magnitude of the artefact in the village you attacked from. Treasury level 10 for village artifact, and level 20 for account wide and unique artifact.

You also need to be aware about the defenses of those Natarian villages. The number of troops in the Natarian village is related to the artifact that is held within it; most for a unique artifact, second most for an account artifact and the least for a village artifact

Stealing an Artifact from Another Player:
You have to attack the village that holds the artefact with hero in the attacking army and win the attack. You also must destroy the treasury in that village. Additionally you have to have treasury required by the magnitude of the artefact in the village you attacked from. Treasury level 10 for village artefact, and level 20 Treasury for account wide and unique artefact.

Mostly villages holding the artifact will be heavily guarded by the player or by the whole alliance.

Important notes about Artifacts:
  • After one month of the artifacts being added to a server, any artefact that is still in a Natarian village will become active with the associated benefits being applied to that Natarian village / account as appropriate.
  • Small artifact bonuses will over-ride the bonus of any account or unique artifact of the same type for the village it is in.
  • Shifting artifacts between your own villages will also counts as capturing. Hence it will again takes 24 hours to become effective.
Artifacts Effects

Sanctuary of the Architect

All buildings in the area of effect are stronger. This means buildings are more durable against attacks by catapults and rams. Hence you need lots of catapults or rams to destroy them. Does not count for the Wonder of the World, but the account wide and unique type count for all other buildings in the Wonder of the Wold village.

Small: Diamond Chisel (4 times stronger)
Acount: Giant Marble Hammer (3 times stronger)
Unique: Hemon’s Scrolls (5 times stronger)

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
Sanctuary of the General

All troops in the area of effect will move faster.

Small: Opal Horseshoe (2 times faster)
Account: Golden Chariot (1.5 times faster)
Unique: Pheidippides’ Sandals (3 times faster)

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
Sanctuary of the Spy

The Scouts( Equites Legati and Pathfinders ) are better at spying, and defending against spy attacks. All scouts in the area of effect as well as all scouts sent for spying from the area of effect are affected. Additional you can see the type of troops attacking you at your rally point, but not the amount of troops.

Small: Tale of a Rat (Improved by a factor of 5)
Account: General’s Letter (Improved by a factor of 3)
Unique: Diary of Sun Tzu (Improved by a factor of 10)

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
Sanctuary of the Cook

All troops in the area of effect consume less wheat according to a certain percentage.

Small: Silver Platter (50% reduction in crop consumption)
Account: Sacred Hunting Bow (25% reduction in crop consumption)
Unique: King Arthur’s Chalice (50% reduction in crop consumption)

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
Sanctuary of the Instructor

Troops are built a certain percentage faster within the scope of the artifact.

Small: Scribed Soldier’s Oath (50% reduction in training time)
Account: Declaration of War (25% reduction in training time)
Unique: Memoirs of Alexander the Great (50% reduction in training time)

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
Sanctuary of the Grand Designer

With this building plan you are able to build the Great Granary or Great Warehouse in the Village with the artifact's effect.

Small: Builder’s Sketch (NA)
Account Babylonian Tablet (NA)
[No Unique Artifact exists]

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
Sanctuary of the Lookout

Cranny capacity is increased by a certain amount for each type of artifact. Catapults can only shoot random on villages within this artifacts power. Exceptions are the WW which can always be targeted and the treasure chamber which can always be targeted, except with the unique artifact. When aiming at a resource field only random resource fields can be hit, when aiming at a building only random buildings can be hit.

Small: Map of the Hidden Caverns (Capacity of Cranny increased by 200)
Account: Bottomless Satchel (Capacity of Cranny increased by 100)
Unique: Trojan Horse (Capacity of Cranny increased by 500)

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
Sanctuary of the Fool

This artifact changes its effect every 24 hours, and can get any of the effects of other artifacts. Also the effect scope is randomly decided between account and village wide every 24 hours.

Normal artifact of this type may get also negative effects, for example troops might get slower, or they might consume more food. Unique artifact of this type may only get positive effects, but the magnitude of the effect is still random. It might grant speed increase of factor of 1.01 for example.

Standard: Pendant of Mischief (Random)
Unique: Forbidden Manuscript (Random)
There is no large or small because the scope is randomly decided every 24 hours )

Question & Answer

Q1. I have 3 artifact one of them is Account wide and the other 2 are Small artifacts. I conquered a new account artifact but it's not working! Why is it so?
Answer : It's because the oldest account wide artifact will only work.

Q2.
I own 2 artifacts of the same type...(Sanctuary of Architect). One is a small artifact and the other one is unique artifact . Which artifact will have effect?
Answer: The village which has the small “Sanctuary of Architect” artifact will be used for that specific village and hence the Unique Sanctuary of Architect will lose it's effect in the that specific village only.

Q3. Artifact of the Fool changed its scope(range of effect) to account wide. I also hold an unique artifact already. Which one will be effective?

Answer: Only one account scope artifact remains active. Hence the oldest account artifact will only work and the other one gets useless for about 24 hours(until another effect change through the fool artifact)

[T4] Hero's Guide to get "Experience" without scrolls

Everyone are eager to get hero's experience in T4 (Week 5) but most of them depend upon Adventures and Scrolls.

Well, adventures are shrinking... Scrolls are getting expensive. So most of the Non-Gold User are really low on Hero's experience. In this guide you will find a technique to get Hero Experience Points for free.
◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
== Steps to follow ==

1) Firstly, you have to have about 4000+ Hero Fighting Strength (Week 5)

◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦
2) You need some Cavalry Units

◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦◦
3) A target oasis. It's better if you chose a +25 % Clay or +25% Clay +25% Crop because they usually have Rats, Spiders and Wild Boar.Where Wild Boar only has only 33 Defense against cavalry.

Choose a weak defense oasis like this is more suitable...

Then raid the oasis with your Cavalry Only including your mighty hero.

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦
== Conclusion ==

You will get about 51 Hero experience. So if you do this around 5 times a day you will get around 300 Experience with some resource bonus. In ts9.com a scroll ranges about 200 - 350 Silver coins... So it's better this way for non-gold users

Natarian Attacks - Settling in Grey Area

Natars are released from the start in T4. Hence competitions have also started. In the middle of the map. About 20x20 belong to the Natars and is known as the Grey area or Zone. Settling in grey area is dangerous. Natars will make several attacks with multiple Catapult Waves and if your village gets 0 Population, your village will turn into history.
◦◦◦◦◦◦••●•●●•●★●•●●•●••◦◦◦◦◦◦
== Attacks ==

Hence this is my experience in settling in Grey area.
(Click to see in a larger view)
Well 14 Attacks with Multiple Catapult waves.

This is my friends village, he did this to prevent 0 Poped..
Well, I didn't get that Idea before of fulling up with Cranny :( ...
This is my village...Soon to be attacked. So I soon started to fill it up with Crannies! It pretty worked for me and I survived those attacks.

◦◦◦◦◦◦••●•●●•●★●•●●•●••◦◦◦◦◦◦
== Attacking Units ==

So this was the first attack and was the most powerfull of all

After those it was followed by some small units

At the end I was left with some Crannies,Crop Lands,etc..

◦◦◦◦◦◦••●•●●•●★●•●●•●••◦◦◦◦◦◦
== Conclusion ==

Hence, to survive there you don't have to dump defense troops just try build more than 30 buildings or structures. So that you don't get 0 Population!

It seems most of them are trying to do the cranny technique please don't do it until you have some buildings which have population. Crannies provide target for attacks so it can save population buildings to some extent

Your building list must have...

  1. Market Place
  2. Ware House
  3. Granary
  4. Barracks
  5. Main building
  6. Academy
  7. Smithy
  8. Embassy
  9. Hero's mansion
  10. Residence(or Palace)
  11. Cranny lvl-10
  12. 8x Cranny Lvl 1
  13. 18 Resource Fields...
This article is based on my experience...So try it, if you would like. I am not responsible

New Look Site (+ New Authors)

Hey Guys,

If you are a regular reader you might have noticed that today we've re-done the entire site with a new theme and new design. It's been quite a major rethinking of our whole design and layout which took a while to do but with our intentions of becoming a much larger site with significantly more traffic I decided it was the time to do so. Anyway before I explain some of the changes I thought I'd remind you all of how the page looked just 1 day ago so I can point out previous problems.

Previous Blog Design!
As you can see the old design was rather cluttered with two sidebars, one on each side of the main posting area, which were quite thin and meant the sidebar content was crushed. As well as this it mean the actual post space wasn't large enough to fit normal size images so they tended to overlap out of the page which was really annoying. To solve the problem in the new design we've completely removed the right sidebar and put the useful things from that side of the page onto the left sidebar which has been made bigger so all the gadgets fit well. It has also meant we have massively increased the size of the posting areas which means not only can we have full sized inages but also means that posts will now not be nearly as tall as they were previously so it'll be quicker to load most of our pages.

Our description/tagline at the top of the page has been removed because it was rather annoying there and meant there was a massive amount of empty space to either side and took longer to get to the actual post. Our 'Pages' link bar has also been updated so it looks more professional and it's easier to tell which page you are on and have highlighted.  The labels gadget that was previously in the left sidebar has changed into a post cloud which now shows all our labels and tags. Currently the frontpage will now only show the latest two posts.  To make it easier to find similar content you can now find a suggestion of 5 similar posts at the bottom of each posts.

To go with our new blog design I've also hired two new writers today, one of them is known as Imperial Awesomeness and has already made his first post and also Amalgon, one of the .co.uk's biggest forum posters and most active members will also start posting soon and I'm extremely to have them both on board. Aml133 recently joined us and has made loads of great posts and he'll be continuing working with us for the foreseeable future. Lavan has also been a great addition to the blog and he's made some really great posts. I hope you'll read and share all of their posts.

I'd also be really great if you could follow us on Twitter here.

s9 Com - Alliance Analysis

•WAR•
Members seem to be widespread. They are actually having all the mighty player in the server. Most of them are situated in the North East. These guy's villages seem to be moreover like "Deadly WARriors - No mercy". They are pretty strong attacking and robbing which is of course the very point of them game. Most probably they may be sort of like a super natural power over the end game. Most of their are highly populated and have a "smart" army at this point of the game itself.

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦

S E R
South East Republic. Their name say it all, they actually rule the whole South East with constant raiding and attacking. Though they are not upto the mark in attacking and raiding when compared to the top 10 alliance. It's great to know that, their alliance seem to have what they call a Team Work. I'm not sure whether it's true or not but it seems they all attack in lots of waves with a complete co-ordination.

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦

H1N1
What to say? Bird Flu ! Bird Flu ! Bird Flu! They are spreading like bird flu. Their wings also seem to be in the top 10 Lists. Most probably expecting large hammers within Travian soon. It also seems that they are in a deal with SER too and even created an alliance so called "H1N1 - SER"

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦

Anarchy
Anarchy seems to have a lot of wings. The maximum wings I've ever seen in s9.com. It may seem to be a powerful alliance but during the endgame members may get greedy for power. Even anarchy's super secret squad may have a secret squad inside them...Who knows what happens. Anyways every player seems to powerful.

Super Secret Hit Squad
ADS: Anarchy Defense Squad
AnarchyT Troop Makers
AnarchyR Ready For Action
AnarchyW Wild Bunch
AnarchyD Destructive Behavior
AnarchyF Farm Eaters(attackers-only wing)
AnarchyM Marksmen
AnarchyK Knights of Anarchy
AnarchyN - Natural Born Killers
AnarchyV - Victory in Revolution

◦◦◦••●•●★●•●••◦◦◦

HÉROê
Widespread killers. Attacking at maximum scale. It's kinda of decent alliance. They don't seem to boast about themselves.

Cage Guide

This oasis has many animals. This guide will help you on how to trap animals with some logics. Animals also have a set of defence value. So you have to get a knowledge on what animals to trap.

Traps works on a certain basis. It takes 1 animal of each from left to right, if there are no more animals to the right, it will start from leftmost again. That it will do until all cages are used or animals end.

Now equip your Hero with 6 Cages. Send him to attack the Oasis. You will get 2 Rat, 2 Snake , 1 Croc , 1 Tiger. That's all you get. Most Travian players do this mistake.
Tiger is not better than a Crocodile but it has +10 Defence against cavalry than a croc. So the Trick to get 2 Crocs is rather simple.
Equip your Hero with 3 Cages. Attack the Target Oasis. This time you will get 1 Rat , 1 Snake , 1 Croc. Now repeat this process again with 3 cages. So this time you totally will get 2 Rats , 2 Snakes , 2 Crocs.
